Nursing Team

About Helen

I have 20 years of experience in the veterinary industry and 11 years experience as a qualified RVN. I bring a wealth of knowledge, care, and passion to my role. I have a special interest in diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, and schedule 3 procedures. I am always keen to keep learning and developing my skills.

I am known affectionately as the “mad spaniel nurse, as I have a soft spot for Cocker Spaniels and am never far from a wagging tail. Outside of work I am happiest outdoors, whether that’s dragon boating, scuba diving or exploring nature with my canine companions.

What Helen did not day about herself…

Helen is a very warm and diligent person. She is the person that often gives 110% of her time to patients and makes sure patients receive the aftercare that they need. She has a gift for thoroughness and plays a big role in making sure we have everything we need every day.

Helen loves building close bonds with clients and journeying with specific patients. She is patient and inclusive in nature and we are blessed to have her on the team. Additionally, Helen also has a love for teaching her colleagues.

About Katie

I have been in the veterinary field for five years and I have been registered as a veterinary nurse for a year. I have a keen interest in diagnostic imaging, assisting in orthopaedic surgeries and nurse consultations.

Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, going on long walks and spending quality time with family and friends.

I have 2 fur babies, Loki and Iva, that keep me on my toes.

What Katie did not say about herself…

Katie is a real trooper. She is always ready to help, and nothing is too much trouble for her. She has a great attitude to any challenges faced, and she has a magnificent work ethic. Katie is a force of positivity and powers through; she demolishes any hurdles that are thrown at her.

Her nature is calm and collected, with lots of fun and laughs. She makes the people around her feel accepted and loved. Her honesty and friendliness are heartwarming. She loves our patients and always makes sure that they are cared for.

About Rebekah

I have worked in Veterinary for 5 years and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse In 2024. I have a particular interest in Inpatient Care, Anaesthesia, Medicine and Canine and Feline Behaviour. I am a crazy spaniel loving nurse who is a mum to a working cocker spaniel who loves duvet days as much as he loves exploring. I am also a mum to two crazy cats, who are brothers, but couldn’t be more different.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places and engaging in other cultures. Other than travelling you will find me mainly on the Netball court, on the water on a paddle board or spending quality time with family and friends.

What Rebekah did not say about herself…

Rebekah is a highly valued team member and always willing to go the extra mile. She is highly driven and loyal and has a forward-thinking mindset, always striving for improvement. She manages to get things done in an efficient, yet thorough manner, whilst maintaining a calm demeanour.

About Hannah

Working in a vet practice is my happy place — where muddy paw prints, wagging tails, and the occasional hiss are all part of the daily joy. Since a young age I’ve always enjoyed being around animals. Being part of somewhere like New Hope and being able help and care for our furry and non-furry friends is the best and most rewarding job …they also don’t mind if you talk to them like babies (which I absolutely do)! Whether it’s helping a nervous pet feel safe or supporting the team during busy clinics, I love being part of the chaos, care, and cuddles that come with veterinary life. It’s messy, it’s meaningful, and it’s exactly where I want to be.

What Hannah did not say about herself…

Hannah is as authentic as they come. She has a very open and honest heart. She really cares for each patient that comes in, and she works tirelessly to ensure patients are comfortable and at ease.

She is also filled with a lot of wisdom and has a fair and objective nature. Hannah often jumps into other roles with ease and is a very flexible team player.

About Ella

I recently qualified as a veterinary nurse, and I love getting to know all the animals that come through our door. I especially love inpatient care as well as being on consultations, where I get to meet lots of different patients and help them feel safe and comfortable.

Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, spending time in the yard with my horse Milly or just spending time with my cat Suki and dog Kobi.

What Ella did not say about herself…

Although Ella is quiet, she is a calm and nurturing team member. Ella likes to take her time with patients and adds a personal touch when caring for your special pets, always providing extra attention for in-patients at New Hope Vets.

About Lauren

I qualified in 2021 but have been working in the veterinary world for over 10 years, and I can’t imagine doing anything else! I love being part of a team that’s dedicated to giving every animal the best care possible.

At home, life is just as busy as work — I have two wonderful children, Lilah aged 3 and Esme, who is 6 months, and both keep me on my toes, along with my rescue cat, Sooty. When I get a rare quiet moment, I enjoy curling up with a good book and spending time with my family.

What Lauren did not say about herself…

Lauren is fiercely efficient and organised, she has a special talent for design, which came to light when we first put up our Christmas trees. She is extremely skilled nurse and not afraid of hard work.

She always brings a good atmosphere and sees the funny side of things. We love how she brings smiles to peoples faces and has the ability to laugh at herself.
